Have you ever dreamed of having your own business?  Working the hours you want to work and not having to worry about taking time off for family commitments or other appointments?  Instead of having to drag yourself out of bed in the morning (in all weathers) to a routine job where you are expected to do menial tasks to earn huge profits for someone else and a pittance for yourself?

Okay I'm exaggerating, I know you don't all feel like that.  But many of us do dream of working for ourselves, the main obstacles seem to be knowing what the gaps are in your particular market and believing in yourself enough to go out and make your dreams come true.

When I first read an advertisement for a Hypnotherapy Diploma Course back in 1994, I instinctively knew this was what I wanted to do.  Having said that though, wanting and doing are often two different things.  I had dreams but . . .

At that point I still didn't really believe in myself enough to be able to actually visualise myself in this coveted (for me) role, but the Course in itself was fascinating, I learned a lot about human nature and about myself.

One of the fascinating things about hypnotherapy and psychotherapy is that it gives us a personal insight into why we behave and feel the way we do, which helps us to understand not only ourselves but our fellow travellers on this wonderful journey of life.  Its a subject which (I'm afraid), you will never learn enough of to satisfy your curiosity.  The more you learn the more you want to learn more and the less you realize you know.

There's a famous Yorkshire saying - 'there's nowt as queer as folk'.  I'm not sure about queer but we all have our own little idiosyncrasies which make irresistible material for study.

If you ever wanted to work for yourself then this Hypnotherapy Diploma Course shows you how to, from actually setting up your business, advertising tips and knowledge that can only be gained from years of personal experience, legal requirements, pitfalls to avoid (this advice itself can save you more than the cost of the Course), how to make sure that you are the first person that clients call when looking for a therapist.  And the pre-induction talk is as important as the hypnotherapy itself, as this is your golden opportunity to build confidence and rapport with your clients.

Unless you are already self employed as a complementary therapist you will probably begin by working part time.  Most do, but not all.  Many therapists go out of business in the first year because they have not been adequately prepared for this new role.  This Course shows you how to succeed.  If you want it badly enough you will succeed and you can use our support service as you would a business Coach.

There's another famous Yorkshire saying - 'if tha' gets owt for nowt it's worth nowt, and if tha' does owt for nowt tha does it for tha'sen'.  The Course does involve a modest outlay of £45.00 ($60.00) per lesson, but you can earn at least ten times that amount in your first year (working part-time) and you have a job for life.

There is no retirement age for hypnotherapists, and this is one job where age discrimination certainly does not apply, quite the contrary because with age comes wisdom.  Your clients expect to see someone a little more mature than they are.

It's not all a plain sailing though.  You can get a bit fed up when you've had ten people in succession for stopping smoking and yearn for a phobia or something different to stimulate your mind.

You may also have people phoning you begging you to fit them in tomorrow when you know your diary is full.  But it can lead onto many other things; writing for magazines and newspapers, radio and television appearances, hypnotising celebrities,  to name but a few.

The main advantages are having the freedom to work when and where you want to and knowing that you are making a difference to someone else's life.  When you've helped someone to overcome a phobia that they've had for a lifetime, or stop having panic attacks or making their life healthier by stopping smoking, you know you've done something really worthwhile.  And of course there are the financial rewards, most therapists charge anything between £20 to £150 a session, depending on where their practice is.

So if you feel that working for yourself is for you, and you are interested in helping others, if you have a caring personality and are a good communicator, the Professional Hypnotherapy Diploma Course will turn those dreams into reality.
